Shared Call Coverage
At WHA Centre OB/GYN, we are committed to providing care to our patients even when our office is closed.
Our providers share call coverage within our practice to ensure that a qualified physician is always available for urgent or emergency concerns. We also partner with Associates in Women’s Healthcare, PA to provide additional after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage.

After Hours, Weekends & Holidays
A physician is available by phone at all times to assist with urgent medical needs.
If you need to speak with a physician after hours, on weekends, or on holidays, please call our main office at (919) 788-4444. Your call will be directed appropriately.
REX OB Hospitalists & OB Emergency Department
UNC/Rex OB Hospitalists are available 24/7 to care for pregnant patients at the REX Women’s Center, Labor and Delivery, and the REX OB Emergency Department.
These hospitalists are board-certified OB/GYN physicians who specialize in caring for patients while they are in the hospital. Our office works closely with the OB Hospitalist team to ensure timely, coordinated care when hospital services are needed.
This means that some patients may be seen, treated, or cared for by an OB Hospitalist after hours, on weekends, or during holidays. This collaborative approach helps ensure high-quality, timely care from trusted providers.
Please note: Charges related to hospital visits may be billed to you and/or your insurance provider as appropriate. These charges may include services from our office, UNC/Rex Healthcare, and/or the OB Hospitalist physician.
We are happy to discuss any of our after-hours care arrangements with you. Our goal is to make sure all of our patients are aware of who may be available to provide OB care throughout your pregnancy.
