Our six physicians are members of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and are board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our nurse practitioner has obtained certification as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner. The physicians maintain privileges at Rex Healthcare, where we perform all of our deliveries, obstetrical and gynecological surgeries as well as other related obstetrical and gynecological procedures.

Our History

Centre Obstetrics and Gynecology has deep roots within the Raleigh community. We’re one of the best Raleigh OBGYN’s. Founded by Dr. Robert Ruark in 1933, Ruark Obstetrics and Gynecology was established as Raleigh’s first Obstetrics and Gynecology practice.

The Ruark practice grew into Rex Ob/Gyn in 1995 when acquired by Rex Healthcare. In 2001, our practice became a solely private, physician-owned entity and was renamed Centre Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2007 our office joined the Women’s Health Alliance, PA and we are now known as Women’s Health Alliance, PA pka Centre Ob/Gyn.

We at Centre are very proud of our reputation as an exceptionally conscientious and personable practice. We try our very best to extend personalized care to each and every patient.
