Centre Obstetrics and Gynecology has deep roots in the Raleigh community. Originally founded in 1933 by Dr. Robert Ruark as Raleigh’s first OB/GYN practice, the clinic later grew into Rex OB/GYN after joining Rex Healthcare in 1995.
In 2001, the practice became a private, physician-owned entity and was renamed Centre Obstetrics and Gynecology. We joined the Women’s Health Alliance in 2007 and today are part of Unified Women’s Health. Through all these changes, our commitment has stayed the same: delivering conscientious, personalized care to every patient.
We stand with ABOG, ACOG, and other leaders across women’s health in addressing racism and inequities in healthcare. Our organizations are united in working to change the culture of medicine, eliminate systemic barriers, and improve outcomes for all women.
Our commitment to equity requires acknowledging past and present disparities and actively working toward a more just healthcare system.
Our Patient Portal will allow meaningful patient engagement with a variety of tools, empowering our patients to better manage their health care.
*New patients must register with our office before using the patient portal.
