Centre Obstetrics and Gynecology has deep roots within the Raleigh community. We’re one of the best Raleigh OBGYN’s. Founded by Dr. Robert Ruark in 1933, Ruark Obstetrics and Gynecology was established as Raleigh’s first Obstetrics and Gynecology practice.
The Ruark practice grew into Rex Ob/Gyn in 1995 when it was acquired by Rex Healthcare. In 2001, our practice became a solely private, physician-owned entity and was renamed Centre Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2007 our office joined the Women’s Health Alliance. Today we are a part of Unified Women’s Health and known as Centre Ob/Gyn.
We at Centre are very proud of our reputation as an exceptionally conscientious and personable practice. We try our very best to extend personalized care to each and every patient.
A commitment from Centre OB/Gyn, ABOG, ACOG, and others dedicated to Women’s Health, Obstetrics, and Gynecology addressing racism in healthcare
As our nation confronts systemic racism and consequences of persistent inequities and disparate outcomes in health care, our organizations—which include the leading professional organizations in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology—are committed to changing the culture of medicine, eliminating racism and racial inequities that lead to disparate health outcomes, and promoting equity in women’s health and health care. Our commitment to a better future requires an honest examination of the past and the present.
Our Patient Portal will allow meaningful patient engagement with a variety of tools, empowering our patients to better manage their health care.
*New patients must register with our office before using the patient portal.
